CCTV Survey
Our CCTV chimney survey service utilises high-resolution flue inspection cameras designed specifically for solid-fuel and multi-fuel chimney systems. The camera head is inserted from the appliance or chimney pot and fed through the full length of the flue, providing real-time video diagnostics.
All findings are recorded and delivered with a detailed report, including recommendations for remedial works such as relining, closure plate repairs, or complete system upgrades. This ensures the chimney is safe, efficient, and fully compatible with the proposed stove installation.
This allows us to accurately assess:
Flue geometry and continuity
Identifying offsets, voids, and dimensional irregularities.
Structural integrity
Detecting cracked liners, failed mortar joints, spalling, and breaches in masonry or insulated systems.
Obstructions and deposits
Including tar/creosote accumulation, nesting materials, collapsed liners, and soot debris.
Compliance issues
Confirming suitability for appliance output, identifying areas of non-conformance with HETAS and Building Regulations Document J.
